In early Ireland there were no tartans like we have today. 

The main colours were crimson, grey, blue, green and yellow.

Ireland unlike Scotland, where tartans are designated by the country where the surname is originated from not the surname itself.

Kelly O'Bryans choose our tartans because it is said the O'Bryan clan originated from the Tipperary county.
