Expansion in the Lower Mainland01/11/2018New Westminster Kelly & Carlos O'Bryan's

Location Details

Kelly O’Bryan’s Neighborhood Restaurants & Carlos O’Bryan’s Neighborhood Pubs are proud to announce another expansion happening in the lower mainland. The location of our next home will be 800 Columbia Street in New Westminster. This location fits our classic Irish Heritage to a tee. The original building was built in 1899 as a train station for Canadian Pacific Railway. With expansions coming to both the East and West wings only a few years later to keep up with the demand of a growing city.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our first month of being open in this amazing community of New Westminster! If you haven’t been down yet to see us please come by!

A fun fact about this location is the founders of Kelly O’Bryan’s, Reg Henry, worked in this location when it was The Keg in the early 1970’s, while he attended the University of British Columbia. When he first took a tour through the building to see if it was a location we wanted to embark on, he said the memories just started flooding back. “The building and layout hasn’t changed much”.

This location is at the center of downtown New Westminster and with all the heritage of the building, we feel it is the perfect location for us. The red brick masonry construction & steep-pitched bell cast hipped roofs is a replica of a classic Irish building. Our new adventure is close to two Sky-Train Stations, Landmark Cinema Theatre, The River Market and Douglas College. With these great venues, so close, Kelly O’Bryan’s Neighborhood Restaurants & Carlos O’Bryan’s Neighborhood Pubs is sure to be a great compliment to the City of New Westminster.
