What’s Happening In August?08/02/2017Kamloops Kelly O'Bryan's

Location Details

There are a number of big summertime events planned in Kamloops for August this year. They include art, culture and dining – three of our favourite things at Kelly O’Bryan’s! Let’s take a closer look at what you could be doing in and around Kamloops this month!

The 2nd annual Kamloops Gem & Mineral Show is slated to run from August 25th (1:00 – 9:00 PM) to August 27th (starting at 10:00 AM the Saturday and Sunday) at McArthur Island Sport and Event Centre. You’ll find unique gems, rare fossils, handmade jewellery, fine crystals, lapidary art and much more!

An ongoing cultural tradition continues August 4 to 6 with the 38th annual Kamloopa Powwow at the Kamloops Powwow Grounds. Expect to see at least a thousand dancers competing and sharing as part of one of Western Canada’s largest celebrations of First Nations’ culture and heritage.

Hot Nite in The City returns to Downtown Kamloops on August 12th. 6 city blocks are closed off to allow Street Rods, Customs, American Muscle, Sport-compact, Tuners, British, European, Asian, Collector, Vintage, Motorcycles, Race Competition vehicles and Big Rigs, to line the streets for the annual Hot Nite In The City Show-n-Shine!
